I hope you did follow the installation instructions given in

http://opera.inrialpes.fr/thot/Upgrade095.html

means, that you need to reinstall everything, not just the schemas.
Looks like that the version of the scheams used are not compatible with
the thot binary.
Could you please check this before we spent more time on debugging the
problem,
