The universal profiling schema (UPS) is defined to serve as a universal model that provides a detailed description framework for different contexts. Parsing UPS profiles allows extracting relevant information about the mobile devices described by the profiles and performing all the operations related to searching, making statistics studies and transforming the profiles.

Applied on the web version of our UPS respository (http://opera.inrialpes.fr/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/MULTIMEDIA/UPS-Client-Repository/ups-client-repository.html), the parsing allows making some statistics study such as finding all the mobiles that supports XHTML, or all the devices that have a displaying screen greater than a particular dimension.

In this page, parsing UPS profiles allows to give an XHTML version of any UPS profile in our profiles repository. The profiles are parsed in a real time and published in an XHTML version.
