The mailing-list linux-thot@imag.fr is dedicated to the support of thot
for linux users, so I have set the list in CarbonCopy. Have a look at

Thot is built using Motif-2.0, and I had to patch the sources to get it
to run with Linux and X11R6. Among the problems detected and corrected, an
error concerning the Motif internal Cache Widget did manifest itself only
on some machines. Since it was pretty rare, I changed the code to correct the
error and print this message, in order to detect the cause of the problem.
You can just ignore the message now.

The directory /usr/local/thot/fonts/ contains 3 fonts needed for Thot. If
you try to uses Thot on a remote display, you have add these files to the
font path of the X-Window server. The simplest way is to copy the directory
on the remote machine and issue the following commands :
remote$ xset +fp /the_font_directory
remote$ xset fp rehash
and restart thot ...
